Equipment List

Below you will find the equipment list that is needed for training. There is also a list of things that will make the experience much more enjoyable. Please keep in mind that our range location is remote so there is no way to leave and get food during the lunch break.

Required Equipment for Pistol Class

• Reliable handgun
• At least two (2) magazines
• Strong-side, belt- mounted holster designed for your particular make and model of handgun (no universal holsters, plastic holsters or serpa holsters please)
• Magazine pouch for handgun magazines
• Strong belt designed for handgun carry
• 250 rounds of quality ammunition
• Eye and hearing protection
• Range and weather appropriate clothing
• Hat with a brim (ball caps are fine)

Recommended Equipment

• Camp/folding chair
• Cooler with drinks and lunch for both days
• Insect repellant
• Sunscreen
• Small hand towel
• Glasses cleaner
• Note pad and pen
• Rain gear
• Small pop-up awning for sun/ rain protection

Required Equipment for Rifle Class

• AR15 pattern rifle
• At least 2 magazines
• 250 rounds of quality ammunition
• Rifle sling
• Eye and ear protection
• Range and weather appropriate clothing
• Hat with a brim (ball caps are fine)

Required Equipment for Shotgun Class

• Eye and Ear protection
• Pump action or semi-auto shotgun (No rifled barrel deer guns)
• 150 rounds of birdshot
• 50 rounds of buckshot (Bring what you plan to use for defense to pattern in the gun. We recommend Federal Flite Control 8 pellet 00 Buck)
• Some method to hold extra ammunition while on the line (Side Saddle or Butt Cuff preferred, if not a dump pouch or large pockets)
• We recommend low recoil ammunition but be aware some semi-auto shotguns are ammunition sensitive.
