Defensive Handgun 1
Handgun 1 is where your journey begins. This course is the foundation on which to build all your handgun skills. If you are looking to learn how to use a handgun safely and efficiently or simply want to perfect fundamental skills, then this is the course for you. We focus on teaching firearms safety and fundamental skills such as the grip, the draw, stance, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger manipulation and follow through in this course. We are adept at diagnosing and correcting any problems with any shooter through professional coaching. We also not only teach you how but also explain why we are teaching the skills and techniques that we use. We also do an excellent job of explaining not only the capabilities but also the limitations of the handgun as a defensive tool. Never underestimate the importance of the fundamentals as these skills are the same skills that we practice ourselves every time we go to the range to train. That is how important we believe they are.

Carbine 1
Over the past few years many people have gone out and purchased AR15 type rifles “just in case” which we believe is a good idea. We also believe it’s a good idea to learn how to operate that system properly…”just in case”. The number one cause of malfunctions in an AR platform is operator induced. There are many unique aspects to that weapon system that you simply must learn in order to run it effectively. That’s what Carbine 1 focuses on. We will cover safety, some nomenclature, manual of operation, disassembly, reassembly, zeroing and the fundamentals of marksmanship. This is the Driver’s Ed course for AR15 weapons but you will be surprised the shear amount of information that we will give you regarding the basic aspects of that weapon. You will gain much more confidence in your knowledge and ability that it is certainly worth it. You may think that you can go onto Youtube and learn everything that you need to know but we caution you: there is a ton of misinformation on the internet. We will take the time to explain why we teach the techniques that we teach and afford you the opportunity to ask as many questions as you want. The shooter is always the most important part of any weapon system. Invest more in yourself as much as you invest in the cost of the weapon and the money will never be wasted.

The shotgun is arguably the most useful and also most misunderstood firearm available for personal defense. However, for the individual that is properly trained in the use of a shotgun, there is no more effective weapon for home defense. We will cover how to utilize the shotgun to its greatest potential. We will also dispel some of the myths and misconceptions surrounding this weapon.

Practical Rifleman
Once upon a time we were a nation of riflemen. The rifle of the colonials, pioneers and frontiersmen was a required tool to provide food and defense. These great Americans cherished the rifle as a necessity for life, but as we advanced through time, that tool no longer became necessary for survival and so, the skills of a rifleman have all but disappeared.
The Rifleman series of classes was designed to keep these skills alive. In this series we focus on the use of bolt or lever action rifles as a general purpose “do it all” tool. One rifle, used to harvest game, control predators or even defend hearth and home. We will learn to hit any practical target at any practical range quickly and under any conditions.
Handgun Introduction
Do you want to purchase your first handgun or maybe already own a handgun but know nothing about how to use it or handle it safely? Well then this is the course that you need. We will introduce the student to several different types of handguns, teach you how to handle them safely, load and unload them as well as help you make an educated choice in deciding what is right for you. Too many times we rely on the advice of well-meaning people in helping us choose what we “need” only to find out that we don’t like what we end up with or that it doesn’t meet our specific needs. Come train with us and we will provide the guns, the ammunition as well as the knowledge and experience to help you make an educated decision as to what you need in a defensive handgun. The only thing that you will need to attend this course is eye protection, hearing protection, a camp chair, pen and paper. We will provide everything else.
